Reeds
I have been making and selling reeds for over 15 years so I have made about every mistake one can make when creating and scraping a reed! Most importantly that means I know how to fix something if it goes wrong. As a professional bassoonist I need to ensure that my reeds are good enough to meet the demands of the music. Through making thousands of reeds I have found a system that ensures all of my reeds respond well, have a rich and full tone, and an ease of playing.
The main thing that sets me apart from other reed makers is control of the process. Other reed makers outsource the majority of the cane processing to other companies so they only have control over the scraping and blank making, whereas I start my reeds from tube cane and have quality control as early on as possible. You can rest easy knowing that every reed you receive from me is something that I would feel comfortable playing on.
